Pathways · Placement and case management for workforce agencies

Help people find work that lasts.

Getting someone into work takes a lot of conversations, and what was said is easy to lose in notes and spreadsheets. Pathways gives caseworkers one place for the people they serve: what each person has told them, what was agreed, and every decision about their path, on the record.

A caseload filtered to the people getting ready for work.

The questions every program is asked

A funder, a board member or an auditor asks who the program serves and what happened for each person. Most agencies piece the answer together from spreadsheets, case notes and whoever remembers. With Pathways, it’s already written down.

  1. Who are we serving?

Everyone in your coverage, by stage, with what's due next and what's stuck.

  2. What did each person tell us?

Their own words, and a profile checked with them, fact by fact.

  3. Who decided what, and when?

Every step and every move on the record, by name and date.

See it work

For the people you serve

Let people tell their story, in their own words.

Job seekers start on their own phone with a few plain questions, one short page at a time. It isn't a résumé or a job board: it's what's going on, what they've done, and what they want next.

  • One short page at a time, made for a phone
  • They can stop and finish the rest later
  • Optional questions are marked optional, and answering them changes nothing about their help

For caseworkers

A profile checked with them, fact by fact.

AI drafts the facts from their story, as a starting point. The caseworker goes through each one with the person and confirms it or corrects it. Nothing counts until it's checked, and only the checked facts are kept.

  • Facts the draft is least sure of are marked “please check”
  • Their pay is never taken from the draft: the caseworker asks
  • The draft never decides anything

For caseworkers

Their kind of work, chosen with them.

Type part of a job title and pick the closest kind of work together, from the federal list of occupations. Everything that follows starts from it, so it's settled with the person, not guessed for them.

  • The Standard Occupational Classification, so agencies count the same way
  • Marked as added at the check, and kept on the record

For caseworkers and supervisors

A plan in plain words, and whose step is whose.

Agree the next steps with them, each with whose it is and when it's due. Overdue steps stand out, on the case and on the caseload, so nothing waits without anyone noticing.

  • Steps for the person and steps for staff, side by side
  • Earliest due first, never ranked

For agency administrators

Your coverage, checked on every request.

Each agency works with the people in its own coverage: one state, several, or the whole country. Moves to places outside it stay off unless an administrator turns them on, with a reason that goes on the record.

  • Checked by the server on every request, not just hidden on screen
  • Never opens another agency's people

For supervisors and auditors

Every decision about their path, on the record.

Each stage a case moves through is kept in order, with who moved it, when, and any note they left. Behind it, an audit trail seals every entry to the one before it, so nobody can quietly change history.

  • Every sign-in, change and decision in the audit trail
  • Equal-opportunity answers kept apart, and never used to decide anything

How it runs

Pathways is in development. What’s here is built and running on practice data; a walkthrough shows where it’s headed next.

A person decides
AI drafts, and people decide. Only the facts a caseworker checks with the person count, and every decision on a case is a person's, on the record.
Written rules, not a black box
The paths open to each person get a label and the reasons for it, from rules written down and fixed before use. Never odds, and never a ranking.
The accounts your staff already have
Staff sign in through your agency's single sign-on. Caseworkers, supervisors and administrators each see only what their role needs.
Your own Pathways
Each customer gets its own Pathways, with its own database. Two customers never share one.

See it with your own caseload in mind

Tell us a little about your program and we’ll walk you through one person’s case from start to finish, on practice data, with time for your own questions.

A walkthrough covers

  • One person's case, from their story to an agreed plan
  • The paths open to them, with the reasons behind each
  • How your coverage, roles and records would be set up

The program you run, the area you cover, how you keep case records today, a deadline coming up: whatever helps us prepare.
